Patriots and Giants punch their Super Bowl Tickets

Hey Sports Fans! Did yall enjoy the conference finals? We were treated to end game drama and overtime heroics! Everything us fans crave in our NFL. And now we have to wait almost 2 weeks for more football, talk about a roller coaster! "But Sports Hun, what about the Pro Bowl next week?" Yes I know. The Pro Bowl is next Sunday, but we all know it doesn't count. Sure its an honor to be voted an all star by the fans but none of those guys try very hard during the game. They don't want to get hurt and jeopardize contract renegotiation, they just want their free trip to Hawaii. End rant.

I'm not going to do two weeks of Super Bowl analysis, I'll leave that for next week. This week I'm taking my Sports Hun hat off and putting on the Party Hun hat!! Let's talk Super Bowl parties... More importantly the FOOD! I want to share just a few of my fave gridiron recipes; super easy (basic even) and very yummy.

First up, we've got the ol' stand by Lil Smokies. I make mine with a jar of grape jelly and a bottle of chili sauce. Throw it in the crock on low and move on to the potato skins. Here's a basic recipe and its easy to adjust for flavor and preference. I feel serving Skins really add that sports bar feel to any Super Bowl watch party.

Next we need a dip (every party needs a dip) and special thanks to my Sister Hun for finding this gem on Pinterest. Mexicorn Dip is currently my all time favorite dip :)

On to the drinks! With all the cheering and yelling at refs you're gonna get parched and I want to share this tasty treat with you. Behold the Beerita!!!

You'll need:
1 can of frozen concentrated limeade
1 bottle of Corona

 Empty the can of frozen limeade into a blender. Defrosting the limeade for about five minutes will make this easier. Fill the empty limeade can with your favorite tequila and pour into blender. Fill the empty can 3 times with Sprite and pour into blender. Pour a bottle of Corona into blender.
You can either lightly blend the ingredients and serve them over ice.
Or add one cup of ice into the blender and blend away until it is a nice smooth Margarita-like consistency.

    That's great Susan!! Keep in mind that you can always adjust the amount of tequila based on your taste. I'll be honest its pretty strong. Let me know what you think and if you had to adjust anything... Who are you rooting for in the Super Bowl?
